Carlton is located in the northwest portion of the Willamette Valley in Western Oregon. The Pacific Ocean is to the west of Carlton, and the Cascade Mountain Range is to the east. The city is six miles north of McMinnville and 36 miles southwest of Portland.
Highway 47 travels north-south through the community, connecting with the city of Yamhill to the north and McMinnville to the south. Access to Highway 99W, the nearest major highway, is approximately ten minutes south of Carlton. Carlton can also be accessed from Newberg via Highway 240 and NE Hendricks Road.
The Festival will be held in Carlton's Lower City Park. Follow Main Street west through Downtown Carlton to S. Carr Street. The yellow Carlton Inn B&B is on the corner of W. Main Street and S. Carr Street. Make a left on to S. Carr Street and proceed one block to W. Grant Street. Make a right on to W. Grant Street and go straight into the Lower Park.
If coming into Carlton from the west, follow W. Main Street to S. Carr Street at the yellow Carlton Inn B&B. Make a right on to S. Carr Street and proceed for one block to W. Grant Street. Make a right on to W. Grant Street and go straight into the Lower Park.
The Lower City Park, also known as Lower Wennerberg Park, is a few short blocks west of Downtown Carlton, bordering the North Yamhill River. Enjoy free parking at the park, as well as throughout the city of Carlton.
