Carlton is located in the northwest portion of the Willamette Valley in Western Oregon. The Pacific Ocean is to the west of Carlton, and the Cascade Mountain Range is to the east. The city is six miles north of McMinnville and 36 miles southwest of Portland.
Highway 47 travels north-south through the community, connecting with the city of Yamhill to the north and McMinnville to the south. Access to Highway 99W, the nearest major highway, is approximately ten minutes south of Carlton. Carlton can also be accessed from Newberg via Highway 240 and NE Hendricks Road.
In 2017, the Festival will be held in Carlton's Lower City Park (the event was previously held in the Upper City Park on Main Street, in the center of Downtown Carlton).
The Lower City Park, also known as Wennerberg Park, is a few short blocks west of Downtown Carlton, bordering the North Yamhill River. Enjoy free parking at the park, as well as throughout the city of Carlton.
